Privacy Policy
1. Purpose of Processing Personal Data
Daniel's Bible processes personal data for sign-in authentication (Apple, Google, or Kakao depending on platform and availability), reading progress sync, ranch invite and join flows, ranch activity display, service stability, and error analysis.
2. Data We Process
- Sign-in identifiers and profile display data from Apple, Google, or Kakao
- Reading records (book, chapter, verse, reading timestamp, progress position)
- Membership, invite, and activity statistics for ranch features
- Important action-result messages stored in the notification inbox
- Device and access metadata for error analysis and performance improvements
3. Retention and Use Period
Account, reading, and ranch data stored on the server are retained within the service purpose scope. The local notification inbox keeps up to 20 latest items for up to 1 month and is removed when the app is deleted.
4. Third-Party Services
External platforms are used only where required for Apple, Google, or Kakao sign-in and App Store purchase processing. Personal data is not shared with third parties arbitrarily unless required by law.
5. User Rights
Users can request account deletion, and related server data and local app data are cleared together. Account deletion does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription, so subscription cancellation must be handled separately in Apple if needed. If the account was created with Sign in with Apple, the app may ask for a fresh Apple sign-in to revoke the Apple connection before deletion completes. Some payment records that must be retained for legal or operational reasons may be preserved by separate policy.
6. Notice of Changes
Changes to this privacy policy are announced through in-app notices or release documents. Major policy changes are highlighted again in the app menu and notice channels.
